Matt Rinella knocking it outta the park

Maybe some of those folks changed their mind and just haven’t taken old pictures down. Or largely cut out sharing photos on social media with a larger reach (IE FB, X) but still continue to share photos on hunttalk where they feel it’s more appropriate. The above pretty well describes me, and...

    “You have too many”

What’s really cool is when you find them and they’re that reddish pink color. I’ve found quite a few of those over the years.

    Big Buck on FE Warren

I used to see them bedded under the porch/lift on the back of the Post Office building. I was doing some work in there right around Christmas a few years back and we had a lot of snow and there was a doe under there eating a bunch of leaves that had piled up. Everything else was covered up with...

    Just me overthinking …

I had a bigger bull where the meat was pretty darn elky smelling after butchering. It tasted just fine.

    Wyoming Corner Crossing Defense Fund

I’m on another forum and it recently started scrambling all kinds of things too. A guy said the word sex yesterday and it changed it to “the deed” 😂

    Drone thermal imaging

My buddy and I were on a good Kokanee bite at Hattie a few years back. We hear a drone all of a sudden. Must have had a GPS on it…it flew a circle right around the boat…maybe 50 feet off the water tops. Then it took off towards the north end of the lake where the nice houses reside. Whoever it...

    Fear of Lost Keys

Yep. I really like that eberlestock packs have the little key clip in them. I always put them in there and secure them.

    Anyone a coyote fanatic here?

I don’t think it’s quite that simple…if memory serves me they’re known to also increase their litter sizes when they’re pressured. By all means, kill them, but I wouldn’t expect to make much of a difference. The most intensively hunted place I know of locally for coyotes is also the most...

    "Unleashing" grizzly bears in Washington

Headline reminds me of ol Tom Green in the movie Road Trip.

how much do you spend on a round of trap/skeet?

I haven’t shot in years but it was five bucks per round of trap or sleep last time I went to our local club.

    Hornady CX 120's (6.5 mm)

I used the CX out of my 06 last year. I was very happy with the performance on deer and pronghorn. Haven’t shot an elk with it yet, but I likely will in October or November and I expect it will perform well based on what I’ve seen with other hunts.

    Wilderness Backpack Pronghorn Hunt

They may be “cherry stemmed” if the routes don’t go all the way through the WSA. If they did that the road isn’t technically within the WSA boundary. I don’t know how common it is to do that with WSAs, but I know it’s done pretty regularly with Lands With Wilderness Characteristics inventories...

    Sure buddy 😂

    Handshakes

Good lord is it almost hunting season or what? We got testosterone oozing from the pores in this thread 😂 For what it’s worth, it weirds me out a bit when a man feels the need to squeeze my hand like it’s in a vice to show off his manly strength. Sometimes I have a hard time not laughing at the...

    Illinois gun ban ruled "constitutional".

They didn’t then, but who knows now 😂
  16. bullbugle307

    Illinois gun ban ruled "constitutional".

And I don’t think this is new. I remember around the late mid to late 2000s, it seemed like in my little world the demographics of gun ownership was changing, and the types of guns bought and the reasons for shooting were also changing. I know a ton of dudes I went to school with, never did...

    Best camo for antelope hunting...

My main consideration is always what’s gonna keep the cactus out of places it doesn’t belong.

    OIL Antelope taxidermist

Not on the Eastern side of the state, but Kims Wild Art in Lander does a really good job, and we’ve gotten everything back within a year in years past. Average was probably 9 months. That may have changed as it’s been a few years since we had any work done. I live on the East side of the state...

Guy Eastman on "corner crossing" ruling

I won’t comment on the legal validity of the opinion that this ruling applies to corner crossing checkerboard lands within 20 miles of the tracks. But something that I’ve heard thrown around. It got me to thinking about a corner that’s of interest to me. I never have corner crossed it or even...
