The point creep in Wyoming amazes (depresses) me. I was hoping to draw a certain unit next year, but my 11 points this year would not have been enough. Crazy thing is I would have drawn it 2 years ago at 9 points.
I had the Bert’s Custom Tackle tracks on my old boat. I’m definitely going to add them to this boat for downrigger bases. The boat already has an integrated track system in the gunnel for mounting rod holders, but I don’t think I’d trust it for a downrigger.
I agree. I would advocate that repeat poachers have the vehicle(s) and any weapons used in the poaching confiscated. It’s hard to keep poaching without your truck or rifles.
I’m 6’4” and 195 pounds. I have the XL Guide jacket and as others have said it is a little short in the body. Sitka in their tall sizes fits me better, followed by First Lite.

A similar thread on another Hawaiian island inspired me to ask about Maui. My wife and I are headed there in 3 weeks. It is a 10th wedding anniversary trip of sorts, and our first trip without kids along in 8 years. What are some of your must sees? We have plans to do the Hana highway and...
I’d highly recommend Captain Easy Charters in Islamorada. My wife and I fished with him and had a great time. He fishes both inshore and offshore. We went on the first day of grouper season (May 1 that year) and caught grouper, yellowtail and mutton snapper, amberjack, mahi mahi, and blackfin...
Lol. We were in Yakutat this past August and dump would certainly be an accurate description.
To the OP, also keep in mind that dogfish can become a problem in some areas in August. We fished mid-August in Yakutat and could hardly get a bait on the bottom before it got chewed on by a dogfish.
