I ended up going with the Tikka T1X and the 16” barrel. A Prairie Tactical rimfire can balanced the thing very nicely. That extra length balances the rifle visually as an added bonus.
It’s chonky odd looking thing without the can.
Well I’m glad they got that figured out. My old VX III needs that. I’m forever finding it on. There isn’t a good detent at off and I’m busy about the time I need to shut it off I guess.
This guy was my entry back into tradbows 30 years ago. I felt like it was old then, ‘73-‘75 manufactured I think. Since then I’ve found a 40# to match this 50# one.
Better to get 2 scopes. 1-6 and a 4-20 or whatever. Mount them in Warne QR rings. LPV for the woods work, swap it out for the Long Ranger when the time comes.
Put Jr. behind the wheel yesterday. He’s still a solid 12”s too short, but choked up on it. The smile on his face was great to see, reminds me of his mom.
I’d have to agree this isn’t Lonesome Dove quality. My point though is it’s just getting started. I believe it was a mistake to release it the way it’s been done.
I’m a sucker for a western, I’ve always like Costner in his western roles. Sad to say but it’ll take a bunch to run me off.
Saw it early on. I believe at this point I’d wait till the next theatre release to watch the first. Watch the DVD Friday night then hit to movie house Saturday.
Most of the hate seems to stem from the way all the story lines just come near each other at the end of the first release. It takes...
If it’s a rather plain but good quality insole you’re looking for, check out the Redwing store. They last a good long time in a work boot, there are at least 2 profiles, and I’m pretty sure there are 3.
I’ve gotten good service from a couple different Ravpower batteries. I carry a smaller one in my pack 3 charges of phone) while a pretty significant one (6 charges) stays in camp and gets primary duty. Forgetting to charge my headlamp and a long night a couple times made the smaller one a...
Got this out today for a zero and shoot in.
Granted I’ve never had a good rimfire rifle, but this thing shoots like a house afire! 10 at 25yds then moved to 50yds. 2 10 shot groups covered with a quarter not counting a couple flyers (deer flys actually).
That’s all the Deer Flies were going to...
That is exactly what I was hoping to hear! It really felt smooth, but that doesn’t tell you about retrieval speed, or casting. Zebco does a pretty good job at what they do, kinda like Briggs & Stratton, but expecting Abu Garcia or Honda is a stretch, without hands on experience.
Thanks for your...
I like my wool. If there is a downside it’s wind while I’m sitting, it’s too permiable. But when I’m moving it’s a positive feature, I’m a sweaty mess in no time. My body just over reacts, eventually I’ll regulate. Wool lets me stay comfortable through that damp sweaty period.
I looked all over for the trigger spin Pflueger. It got a lot of positive feedback, I like the balance of those things. I’ll need to check out the regular style too.
I was able to hold what I assume is the big Bullet. Feels like a decent reel ought to. There was a smaller one there too. Thanks for mentioning them, none of the Daiwa there.
