Thanks for all the reply’s but I should have been more specific.
I know all the calibers.
I’m more looking for exact setups you have experience with.
Caliber- model-bullet that you know is low recoil.
My girlfriend drew a fairly good bull elk tag here in Oregon.
She has been shooting my 2506 really well.
I feel it’s a little on the light side.
But I don’t want to over do it with something too big.
I was just wondering what other guys have set up their GFs or wives with?
I must have bought 4 of the spy point link evos last year. All but 1 got returned. They come with a free 30 day subscription. Most didn’t last the 30 days before they quit working.
I’m trying moultrie this year.

I’m trying stealthcam this year.
I had the tag a few years ago.
Lots of elk.
We didn’t see one big bull.
Biggest was maybe 260.
I was disappointed with trophy quality for as many elk as we saw.
Side question.
This is the first year I actually have a chance to draw what I applied for.
The draw results date says June 3-7.
Are the usually pretty accurate with that?
I have a few options on other hunts but wouldn’t want them to conflict with CO if I do draw.
Has Colorado decided on their final tag numbers for 2019?
If so, have they been released to the public.
I spoke with a bio a few months ago and he said they were going to have a meeting about it, but he didn’t say when.
like many of you, i have my name in several drawings across the western US.
my question is, how do i find the odds of being drawn at least once?
for example: ( to make it easy) lets say I'm in 10 drawings across 5 states (5 deer 5 elk ) odds are exactly 10% chance to draw in each drawing ...
Can anyone explain to me how COs seasons are structured?
I believe the start date moves forward one day each year, very similar to how they do here in Oregon.
My question is what do they go off of and when would they move back a week?
Thanks
Dave
