Please forrgive me if this has already been discussed. But, I was interested in some people's thoughts. Seems like some of these units might be a little too far gone...
Anybody think they'll get creative with big game tags too?.?...

Nothing's final until I've got the tag in hand. But, everybody's input makes me like the idea more. I've never really paid for access, so thought this might be a good experiment.
I agree. I just wonder if an increasingly larger amount of people have given up on it over the years.
Plus, (albeit anti-Hunt Talk) there have been some reasonable trespass fees up that way in the past.
This was kind of what I was hoping to find. I'm sure that it's (like most areas) hit or miss, but opportunities to be found. Main curiosity is if the tag surplus correlates with decreased pressure, better opportunity, etc. ....
I've only been down by Cedar City once or twice, so don't know a whole lot beyond some of the legendary deer and the ridiculous prospects of getting some of those tags. I would think that Ogden might have some more realistic prospects within commuting distance. That said; there's probably lots...

Good first post; even if you might have opened yourself up to countless solicitations for advice!😀 But, sounds like you don't mind & kind of you to offer.
Nice to hear from you.
I understand. The broader issue is with the attitudes during the interview and the fact that I didn't hear them ONCE mention any type of public access as a POSSIBLE solution.
Their attitudes impressed me as a couple of short sighted dimwits laughing it up over the Hicks who wanted to hunt...
I may need to go back and listen to the broadcast a few more times. But, I was kind of bothered by the fact that their efforts focused on One study, from One graduate student, at One University of their choosing. After all of this expertise, time, and work; the only option was a cull hunt at...
I like my .444 a lot. My 2¢ - stay away from the Leverevolutions for anything close range; way too much meat damage. Regular Core-Lokt type rounds will do just fine.
