I think it’s the fact that it ups the distance you can kill, thus upping success rates. I have no problem with people that can’t hunt with regular equipment using them.
I was hunting antelope in Nebraska a few years ago, stalking a herd. A guy setup across from me and launched an arrow 140...
I doubt there’s many rules about it. I’m guessing most fish and game departments didn’t think we’d spiral to that kind of level of stupid….. but here we are.
That’s exactly how I thought of the bull I killed last year. He came out walking directly at me, my initial reaction was meh, he walks. I didn’t even grab my bow, then he turned broadside and bugled. I grabbed my bow. 🤣
Honestly if a farmer didn’t care, a man lift you could drive into the corn and lift up 100’ would be perfect.

Yes and no. So I had officially scored and it ended up a hair over 342”. Then the official scorer told me he messed up since it it was a 7x7 and said it had to be non typical, then he text me no it didn’t and settled on 329 7/8”.
So he’s a 320-340” bull. You’re a bigger man than I if you let...
The problem is there is 160 acres, elk don’t wanna come out of 8’ corn, and she only has 1 bird dog, which is me, and me will go in and track a wounded elk, but me won’t go in with 85 degrees, high humidity, and zero chance they decide to bolt into the open.
A farmer showed me pictures he got from a drone 2 weeks ago. The elk have taken up residence. There won’t be much left by the time this gets harvested in October.
