Planning for an Eastern Montana mule deer hunt

With all the elk hunter pressure in this area, and likely the majority of them carrying a deer license, you can pretty much kiss this entire herd of deer goodbye after a couple of seasons. This is exactly what has happened -

Would be hard to enforce agreed. However laws are laws and people for the most part observe them. If you’re going to poach your going to poach anyways. No different than jumping the fence from public to private and back to public. -

This isn’t too bad of a proposal however I would like to see it if you put in for a landowner preference tag it is solely used on private property. I know in a lot of districts someone that owns 640 acres of non elk inhabited country still can apply landowner preference but hunts solely on... -

Say goodbye to ever hunting private land without a “small” fee. Outfitters will lease everything up and be rolling in it! Or just shoot it on public and claim it came off private what a management nightmare. There’s got to be another direction we can go. -
