I called NM game and fish and asked them the same question. They told me 15 was the minimum number of tags for a non res to get one. But 6 percent of 15 is .9 while 6 percent of 17 is 1.02. I thought 17 tags was the minimum with the new rule change would equal one non res tag.
I shot a bull in there at 12200, didnt see any below 11k. The elk were at the same elevation as some bighorn sheep which was cool to watch. I was camped at 10500. Took me two days to pack him out solo. I was coming from about a nice 300 feet in elevation and I didnt have any problems with...
I have a model 722 in .222 with the stock cut down for a youth. I changed out the trigger for a Timney and have plans to do some load development this spring for my kids to practice with.
H4831 sc will work great with the 145eldx. I used 60.5 grains of H4831sc and .010 off the lands. I have since switched to RL26 for a bit more velocity because faster is always better.
Man 75 yesterday and 38 this morning, I had to go back inside to get my puffy haha. I got a little closer to that pipe while welding haha. No snow down here in South Texas, thank god. Best just to stay at home when that happens.
I would hunt AZ over NM for Javelina without a doubt. I will say that I have never hunted Javelina in NM but I go every year to AZ. You are too late to hunt this year, NM draw like you said is Apr while AZ isnt till Oct for spring hunts in 2021. Cost wise AZ is a little more at 275 with tag and...
I have had pretty good luck with Fords compared to some other experiences I guess.
My wife had an 08 expedition el 4x4 with the 5.4, no problems at all, sold it with 120k. Probably should have kept it. She now has a 15 with the 3.5 ecoboost and right over 100k. Had throttle body replace and...
My buddy got a pretty nice Tom just outside of Nogales a couple of weeks ago. Its all dry tracking down there so it can be difficult to find fresh tracks, bring double front carhartt to help mitigate the catclaw and other pokies you will encounter.
I am glad the surgery was successful and you are on the road to recovery! My wife had a brain tumor removed three years ago, same symptoms, crazy migraines and such. Keep at it and I am sure you will be back in the field in no time.
I work in the oilfield as a welder, work on call 24/7 but I take as much time off as I need for hunting season. Usually try and do three out of state hunts if I can pull the tags.
I am currently in the process of re barreling a model 70 from a 7mm mag into a 7mm/300 mag. Gains some fps over the standard 7mm and 300 win mag brass is easy to come by. Not as fast as the 28 nosler or 7 stw but the brass is cheaper and available. Depends if you reload or not. If you are not a...
