Ohh I hear ya and if it wasn't for the need to have one of everything, I would stick with the .270! I have a couple of 26 caliber cartridge's including the infamous 6.5 manbun, but the only quarter bore I have is a 1:10 twist Bob that can't stabilize the new heavy 130 class bullets. I am a...
Deer points are zeroed out! Applied for a unit with one point over last year required and I got my third season tag. Didnt think that was going to happen.
That's what I have been hearing. I got a 722 in .222 and that thing can't hit the broad side of the barn. Gonna try some 45 grains to see if that works otherwise I am going to rebarrel it.
You are on the right track with your scouting plan. I would scout as close to November as you can for checking water sources. Water in unit 8 and most of AZ, can depend on how good or bad the monsoon season is and that usually ends in September. Scouting in August or anytime is a great time to...
I picked up a 300 wsm for a donor action. Been looking into turning it into a 25 sst and running either the 131s or bergers new rounds. Would be a great cartridges for coues, especially for the kids. I have a 270 sherman ands it been fun using his design. Axisworks does great work and I can't...
The Mississippi pot roast is what I got going in the crockpot for tomorrow. Easy recipe, the family enjoys it and I just turn it in the morning. Best recipe I have found to use on the football, either elk or deer.
Nah you're good with the leftovers but good luck getting one. The leftover list has been getting smaller every year and there is a reason why nobody wants those tags in the draw.
I use Rl17 in my 325wsm, got much faster velocity the H4350. I played around with in my .280AI but it like Rl26 better. Have some loaded up in 7mm-08 and 257 bob to try out.
Here is the #2 at 26" fluted and Preferred's muzzle brake. I haven't messed with the rifle too much yet. Just loaded up 20 or so rounds to fireform. Doe season ends Sunday, after that I will play with it some more.
I pulled 8 ounces of gel from the stock, makes it sound hollow but I dont really mind it. I stumbled across a great deal on that swaro otherwise I would have stuck a vx3 on it.
I am not familiar with all the states draw systems and I primarily only apply for one person at at time. Arizona allows you to put in with up to four people but it is all done on one application. I don't believe you can edit the application after you submit it.
Colorado does it kinda like NM...
You can apply with a party application and if you are lucky both will get tags. Just make sure the hunt codes you are applying for have more then two tags, I am assuming for non residents. One of you creates an application and then the other one attaches to that existing application with the...
I have a kimber hunter in 280AI that weights 6lb 3 oz with talley rings and a swaro Z3 3-10x42. Pretty lightweight set up and shoots great with hammer 143s.
I found a good load with Rl26 and the 145 hammers in a kimber hunter. Scoots along a nice 3160. I tinkered with H4831sc and barnes 145 LRX but that kimber liked the hammers.
