What's the longest distance you would hike for an elk?
The bull I shot this year was 3.7 miles from the truck. Solo pack out took two days and covered 37 miles total. -

Is the price of gas hindering your out-of-state or in-state hunt plans?
Just added up my fuel for my elk hunt this year $1400. OUCH! I would do it all over in a heartbeat! -

Will 2pts get me a descent Co bow hunt?
DouglasR, Hone your craft on OTC hunts while collecting points. When you feel comfortable and have killed some legal bulls cash in those points on the best unit you can draw. Then start all over. -
