I used to work in a shop as a spray tech for Rhino Linings. I sprayed several diy projects from trailers to boats to truck tool boxes. If they leaked when I was done, it was from a design flaw, not a failure of the product.
FYI, spraying These custom jobs was very expensive
First thing I would check, especially your case OAL. Compare this and your other measurements to those listed in your reloading book. If they appear to be within spec, then try a headspace gauge. The brass, once sized, should drop right in and be flush or just at the recess. If you have to push...
I started with a beam scale and was happy to upgrade to an electronic scale. I went with the RCBS 1500 (I believe) and then when I had the money, I added the automatic powder dispenser. I am very happy with this combo and it is accurate to within +/- .1 grain. It is very nice to have a powder...
25 year old Rem 700 BDL in 30-06 shooting 168gr Barnes TTSX hand loads at about 2700fps. Sitting in the original plastic stock, wearing a new Leupold VX3i 3.5-10x40.
The plan is to put it in an Edge stock and then spin on a Proof Research barrel, staying with the 30-06, or possibly going to 280AI.
Fire starting kit - never needed it, but I will always have it
Sitting pad - if I'm comfortable, I sit and watch longer
InReach - peace of mind for me and my wife
Shooting an '06 is like driving a V6 sports car. Its fun, does everything you need, but you know there is more power to be had and can't stop looking at the lucky guy who went with the V8.
On one hand I cannot believe this is going forward. on the other hand, I am not surprised at all.
No matter how the cards may fall, this is going to be a blow to all gun/ammunition manufacturers.
I have the same poles. I believe I got them on "Prime Day" a few years ago for something like $30. They have held up very well and really are a game changer when it comes to stability while climbing around and helps reduce the load on my knees. And they only weigh 1 pound for the set.
I will...
I love my charge master. I did the beam scale for a few years, then got an electronic scale and that was nice. Now with the charge master and my order of operations, when I am done seating the last round checking it , the next charge is ready and waiting. If mine broke, I'd buy another
Dry fire practice is often over looked and can really help. It's free, and can be done when you can't leave the house and have just a few minutes of free time. Practice quickly setting up in awkward positions and good trigger control.
I asked the same question while I was looking at boots. The clerk told me everything in the store has a one year warranty (Scheels would replace), boots included.
If it gets you out hunting, nothing wrong with it at all. I started will surplus military gear and used to carry 70 pounds for a 3 day hunt. A lot of that was extras I no longer pack, but a fair amount was also because the military gear was just so damn heavy.
When you do upgrade later, start...
