As for the stock, I think it's usable. Considering a 1" recoil pad, I believe the chip would be removed to get it to a 14" or less LOP.
To my understanding, any Mauser 98 trigger with side safety would function on this (Interarms Mark X, for example).

Fresh out of the 1960's is this Mauser Sporting rifle made by Midland Arms of England, which is Parker Hale from what I can gather.
Bluing is deep and there is very little wear on the bluing, even on the muzzle.
Bolt and handle have some surface freckling.

Norma Whitetail 150 grn factory ammo killed these two elk handily in 2nd season. Ranges were just over 500 and 300 respectively.
I've handloaded Hornady 150 IL and 180 IL and it shoots them well also.
