2020 August severed patella tendon knee injury sidelined my entire hunting season ... and I had a bag full of tags, which I just wrote off as contributions to Montana FWP.
I lived the hunting season vicariouosly through hunting stories of my grandsons.
Consider it more planning time for next season.

However, in this scarlet red state it seems most worship the rhetoric of Congressional delegates Daines and Zinke. They do not like WSAs and barely tolerate real Wilderness ... if only for political reasons.

How about the Sunday picture, landscapes, gardens, old buildings, and such threads? Although not about hunting or public lands, they do have an entertainment and learning value.

Having lived near Gallatin Gateway for fifty years, I can fully attest to that. It's not the slow drivers ... and there are very few except at 5pm when traffic is backed up. Speed and driving distractions have caused more wrecks on Huffine in the past decade than in the four decades prior!

You know you have discovered the Pacific Northwest backcountry when the little coffee shop rest stop features a Hippie band playing Beatles and other sixties music. Well worth the visit. Then the famous BigFoot Susquatch appears on the roadway.
Hunting/shooting etiquette has been a critical factor for me. I formerly hunted pheasants with a guy who could shoot from hip and twice from shoulder before I could even determine whose lane the bird was flying in, let alone shoulder and draw a bead! "Formerly hunted with" is the key phrase.
