So I think I’m leaning towards a replaceable blade. But now I’m between Havalon and Gerber, thoughts? The only advantage I see to the Havalon are the various blade options. Is that correct?
Yeah I guess I should’ve mentioned a price range. I would like to spend less than $40, and it’ll most be used on white tails and hogs. It’s tough because replaceable blades and regular knives all have pros and cons. I love the idea of not having to sharpen a knife but I also like some durability
Yeah I definitely am not a fan of sharpening. The idea of a leatherman and a replaceable sounds pretty decent considering I have one already, albeit a smaller version

I can definitely believe that quality would be on the lower side. I may end up having to just get one, try it, and compare it to free handing. Worst case I’m sure I could return it
While doing some pre-planning for a hopeful future elk I came across the tripod issue. I know tripods make glassing much more enjoyable, but I would only be willing to spend $40-50 on a cheap camera tripod (considering all other expenses). Would a cheap tripod be better than free handing? Or...
