I think Harris is the best value for a hunting bipod. Although nice looking I can't justify spending $300 plus on the new wave bipods out now. If that is what a guy likes and wants then no problem and more power to them but the Harris gets the job done very nicely at a third of the price easy.
If you want to hunt with other women another resource may be the Game & Fish dept. Most sponsor women in the outdoor events and may have a network to put you in touch with.

It was really great just enjoying the moment, I did keep thinking oh there is a perfect shot presentation. He couldn't of come in any more perfect and just a really big bodied old mature warrior with heavy bases and excellent mass the photo doesn't do him justice.

I have been jonesing to get out in the stand, I have a either species (mule deer) rifle permit and the season doesn't start until the 30th.
So I take my doe permit and my fall turkey permit and hit he woods and wouldn't you know this guy shows up and eats acorns under me at 5 yards and hangs...
Personally I hope you realize your dream, but I believe a 40" mule deer is akin to hitting the lottery. I don't have to take the biggest buck on the mountain, a good mature representative animal makes me happy.

Most deer processing here is $70-$120 not including specialties.
I do a lot myself but have some processors that make really good jerky, sausage, brats etc so I will always take at least one in.
