    Leupold Variable Eye Relief

My understanding is you should set the scope to max power when the eye relief is the smallest, then shoulder it so the eye relief is correct for you. The last scope I had mounted I did this both standing and sitting at a bench, making minor adjustments. I have not had any issues.

Talk me into a Sous Vide

10/10 love mine. Sous Vide and finished on the grill has helped me introduce people to wild game meat. I admit to not being the best chef, and it helps with consistency for sure. Bonus is cooking up steaks in the winter when I don't want to stand outside very long!

    Ammo prices

local stores are out of most things, or are limiting how much you can buy...7mm-08 is oddly plentiful.

    Doe killers?!!?

I’m going to have to claim simple ignorance on this one. With a 3 day weekend and family hunting area, I have never looked beyond that particular unit. That said, you may have just opened the door for me to get into bow hunting....

    Caliber Battle

Being a fan of the show, I read most articles they post on their site. I am curious what other HT'ers think of his conclusion. There are other caliber battle articles as well that follow the same structure...

    Doe killers?!!?

In MN, doe permits are on a lottery system, so we call them "golden tickets". I personally have not shot a doe, but would have no reservations doing so if it was the difference between a freezer full of meat and tag soup.

    Educate me

The only reason I’ll get one is if I don’t get my deer during rifle season, and the wolf with irons is what I was looking at.

    Educate me

I admit to not owning any of the above mentioned options, as I hunt in the rifle zone. I imagine there would be new and exciting challenges to hunting with a muzzle loader in a wet environment. Anything you can do other than tape the barrel and say a prayer to mother nature?

    Educate me

If I didn't want a whole new gun, I would go cantilever scoped barrel. If I wanted a new gun, I would get one of the Savage bolt action slug guns. That said, I would go muzzleloader over both.

my younger brother wants to use a 410 for turkeys next spring are they enough?

It's plenty...with a few requirements/suggestions. Using TSS or an alternative to maximize pellet count. Tungsten is so dense that #9 shot carries the same kinetic energy as #5 lead (I believe), so having that many pellets helps. The second would be a very tight choke. I used the savage 301...

    6.5 cm hate?

I would say as someone who has a few friends who are "adult onset hunters", they see the 6.5CM as the "perfect hunting round". Does that come from the hunting community perpetuating it as a joke combined with the naivety of newcomers, or the success of a marketing department?
