Colorado is really taking the masks seriously. It’s night and day from Pennsylvania were businesses are posting signs stating they don’t care if you don’t wear one. I was 5 miles into a hike in RMNP and got scoffed at by a lady for not wearing one. I couldn’t breath as is at 11k feet without one!
Ive also been searching for houses and the prices are insane. Anything decent is immediately bid on and goes for well over asking. Twice I tried to see a house and they were sold before a showing could be scheduled.
I have three wasp havalon broadheads in 100 grains. They have only been shot at a foam target and have replacement blades.
Looking to swap for fixed blades in 125 grains to fill the rest of my quiver.
Don’t listen to the haters, I am a socks n’ crocks kind of guy. Don’t forget to flip them bad boys in four wheel drive whenever you sense danger. Can’t be fallin out of your crocs!
Fortunately it has not been handed down to me yet, but my father’s Remington 700 that he purchased new in the 1960’s full of decades of wear and use will one day be handed down to me. One day I will have a very reflective walk in the woods with that rifle. I will be fortunate to have luck with it.
I’ve been eyeing some full brimmed hats due to concerns with sun exposure and fishless kayak fishing trips. Anyone know of a lightweight boonie hat? Like the material Of a Sitka ascent ball cap?
First attempt at a smoked pork shoulder. I had a boneless picnic roast in the freezer, will not use that cut again. Wrapped it in foil about an hour and a half ago and it’s still climbing. Smells and looks great.
Did a flatlander hike today with 55lbs. The first part of it is maybe 300ft of gain over about 1/2 of a mile, the rest is a nature stroll 😂. Worked up slowly from about 30lbs and felt great. Still huffing and puffing but my quads no longer burn.
The AAE vanes are great but can be finicky. They want you to use their proprietary glue and prep pen but it’s not necessary. I’ve found that if you take 400 grit paper and hit the bottoms with a few passes and clean them with alcohol they adhere just fine. I’m using platinum fletch tight and...
I have a mini and you can get weather. I use my phone and connect to the in reach. It has a very user friendly app. Regular weather reports costs 1 message, but a premium weather report costs an extra 1$ I believe.
I started fletching my arrows last year with a cheap Bohning jig. They turn out great and I enjoy building them over a couple days. I tried several different vanes and settled on AAE Max vanes. They are tricky to get to stick right but If you prep them they don’t come off. I do a helical but I...
