My bro and I both drew the combo and LE elk permits. Other 3 that hunt with us didn’t draw anything. A little bittersweet, but we all apply separately hoping someone will draw and the others tag along or pick up a cow tag.
Hey all. I’m going to be grilling a beef tenderloin for the extended family for Easter dinner. I’m probably going to use my Traeger as I can control the temp/etc a bit more easily on that grill. Curious what some of the groups favorite recipes are. I’m all ears.
The waterfowl and eagle watching between Monti and ER is pretty awesome. I’m looking at the river now while enjoying a glass wine. Doesn’t get much better….well it does when we start hammering those big smallmouth on fly rods👍
My old manager was a member there and I remember going there with him to shoot “long range” prior to an antelope hunt. He was an F class guy. 600 yds was quite humbling on that first outing.

I used the 650 set up last season. Nice pass throughs on both the elk and the deer. I’ve pile drived some shoulders in the past with lighter set ups…my fault for poor shot placement. Looking forward to using them again this yr.
I had a mentor that hunted and fished all over the world. He made arrangements to have all of his mounts donated to schools for the blind. If I remember correctly, I think they were spread out across multiple states. He wanted those folks to be able to touch/feel/visualize all of the different...
