I have a decent number of once fired brass saved and cleaned as I am getting ready to start reloading for my 300WM. I am slowly acquiring my powder and primers... a question that I have had is my brass varies from Hornady and Remington. I used to get all my ammo from Choice Ammunition and...
I have shot accubonds through 300 wsm and 300 win mag for years. They do their job. Starting to reload my own rounds now. Excited to try the ABLRs out of my 300 Win Mag this year. Anyone have preferences on weight for this round? My gun is 1-10" twist, picked up both 190 and 210 grainers...
Heck Im trying to get some components as well. I'd be happy with a 1000 magnum primers at 100 bucks. I can't find them for anything less than 200 bucks. 1 pounders of H1000 are going for 150+ dollars right now too.... Even trying to buy presses, the ones that are still in stock are priced way...
Looking to get into reloading. Hoping to find out some good online places to shop to get everything I need. Start to finish. Decided to go with a single stage press. Overall goal is to load better than factory accuracy hunting rounds for my 300 Win mag and someday wife and daughters rounds as...
I am starting to shop around for a rifle that would fit my wife and eventually my daughter for all around hunting. Hoping sometime soon I can get the wife out west as she wants to take a antelope. However I do see the want that someday they all would want to accompany me on an elk hunt. I was...
Hey all, as it seems to be the worst time to start the reloading process... I am doing research and filling up my carts for equipment. I am just not going to pull the trigger until I have the components I want at home. So while there are no powder and primers available I have been entertaining...
Jumping into this conversation as I would like to entertain reloading. My grandpa used to reload and as a kid I was amazed by the process. Years and years later after transitioning from midwest whitetail hunting to heading west and chasing game at longer distances I have began to really enjoy...
Got ya... Well first off thank you for your service. We all greatly appreciate the sacrifice. Glad you are getting back after it! I have dabbled around in 362 a little during rifle. I took my first elk in there actually, pretty cool experience. Nothing like getting back to the truck with...
I enjoy putting plans for future years together. I realize one of these years I will strike out both in montana and wyoming and will get to look elsewhere like a Colorado or Idaho. Ive just been spoiled with the montana seasons being able to archery and rifle hunt it each year.
Yeah.. there some units in wyo that cluster up at pretty high points. I just like to look to the future and trend it. My group is spread out with points from 9 to 6. Plan is to pull a type 9 each year in a unit we know well.
Does anyone know where to find a more specific unit breakdown of application numbers? I emailed game and fish this winter and they gave me a chart but I think they misunderstood me. In the drawing odds they blanket all the applicants that are 1 or 2 points below the draw eg. <9 pp 136apps...
Pretty bummed yesterday, today is better knowing I have a Montana big game combo in my pocket and really good draw odds for Wyo deer. It should allow me to get another year of scouting in that unit while hunting deer. Ive done 8 years of that so when I do draw the tag I will feel fairly ready...
Just watching the certain unit that I keep applying for on the app numbers in a non res special pool, a guy thinks he has a chance the following year as it seems like the points right a head of me 50% of them get allocated tags. So a guy would hope the remainder would be the first ones to pull...
Point creep is terrible... every year for the last couple I think Im going to pull a tag but every year im still out of the mix. Its tough, sticking with the choice to hold out for the tag that I started off buying points for in the first place. Not going to burn double digit points on a general...
