Anybody else have Maven testimonials? I've looked through the B.1 10x42's in the field and really liked them. Considering getting a pair, but am curious to hear others experience. Relatively new company has me a little gun shy.
Selecting your hunts is so smooth. Dates, boundaries, etc. all right infront of you in one spot. I wish other states would follow.
Drawing the actual tag is a little more problematic...
Up until this year I've always had good success with OnX. I preloaded a bunch of maps for an out of state hunt in the medium resolution. When I got to my hunt area only about 1/4 of what I downloaded were actually available. Luckily I had decent service on the hunt.
As for Top Rut. I like...
I have the 6 long gun capacity model and like it. My two priorities were locking up guns from the kids and being lightweight/portable. It meets those very well.
From a fire, theft, and storage space standpoint I wouldn't recommend it. It is also expensive for what it is.
Pros of doing it myself
Consistency
Knowing how the meat was cared for from field to table
Cost savings
I enjoy it
Cons:
Takes a lot of time during a time of year when time is scarce. Like Snowy mentioned I usually freeze and complete the finish product later in the year.
Rule #2 - Never hold your strategic planning meetings in a public internet forum 😂
In all seriousness, lots of good advice in this thread. Ultimately, selling a business (or bringing on investors) is complicated and no two deals are exactly the same.
