I played with several pairs in the store. I was even able to convince a employee to let me take 2 pairs outside (albeit he accompanied me) around dusk. For my eyes, the Nikon monarch 7s we're just better then the leupolds he kept pushing me towards.
I then bought them online and saved about $90 :)
As far as rounds in the weapon while being transported, I am pretty sure everyone is onboard with unloading their rifle before putting it in the truck even if the law doesn't specifically state so. I won't allow otherwise in my vehicle

Montana Attorney Web Site states the following:
“Montana has no prohibitions against carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, although federal rules may apply in national parks.”
According to the AG you can carry a firearm inside your vehicle without a permit as long as...
I am a bottle guy. I run the ultralight nalgene with the little "sipper" insert. Weighs 3 oz. It seems like I drink more water when I have a bottle (better hydration = feeling better) and it's easy to keep track of how much I'm drinking and to see when I'm getting low. I will bring a 64oz Sawyer...

I used to run an Eberlestock Dragonfly, but it never fit me that great. I ended up going all in on a kifaru. I wish I had just done that the first time, would of saved me a good chunk of money.
Mostly from traveling. After a while it didn't seal so good and dust found it's way into EVERYTHING! Once setup, it wasn't too bad, but If there was any ATVs or trucks going by, they would kick dust up and it would settle on the canvas. Then when I would fold it up, all that dust would end up...
I used to have a tent trailer, not quite, but similar to a jumping jack. Dust was always an issue. Once the canvas started to get old and tear, and after pricing a replacement, I sold it. My next trailer will be an enclosed utility trailer, modified to have bunks, a kitchen, and power.
