I like to take a few practice shots before I hit the woods. Just helps with confidence and figuring wind drift. I missed my reihardt and sent one down the road. Never found it.

I just prefer to go straight to BH tuning. There is no wrong way, both ways you have to move the rest and the end result is the same. Just how I like to do it...for now 😉
In my opion, BS tuning is kind of bunk. You are going to move your rest when you BH tune anyways, which will ruin your BS tune. I just make sure my paper tune with fletched arrows is perfect, then move on to broadhead tuning, knowing I will need to move my rest.

Tough. The public is surrounded by lots of private. You're going to want to scout and make friends with landowners. I had a pretty good line on a buck, but once the season opened, I figure he left public. I was able to fill my tag though, just not on the big one.
