    Y'all all said it. I don't Facebook, and don't take a shot over 300 yards with my 7 mag. And I practice a lot, 1.5" groups at 300 yards. This would not interest me. But I also don't bow hunt I have lost two animals to a string with good shots. I don't judge bow hunters but I won't strimg hunt...

    Holy bull, great write up, great first elk!!! Congrats we don't live far from each other. Feel free not to tell where, but we just got from a fishing trip in creede at the same time I didn't see an elk anywhere. I am happy for ya, bust of luck in the seasons to come.

    Went in after a a zero point, left over unit this season and didn't draw! Working on plan b, over the counter. Never hunted out of state relying on research. I wish the best of luck to all. Can't wait even if unsucessful, at least we all tried.

    Found a Rifle, But..

    I had a Remington long range in 7mmag, it was a shooter. With my vortex 4-16x44 hst, it was right under 11 lbs. heavy rig.

    I would change my gun before I'd change my caliber. I love 7 mm mag, and there are way to many quality rifle choices out there now.
