That 436 was with bone-in quarters, which with a moose those bones are probably a fairly significant amount of weight.- ----

A little eastern Montana luck
We would always joke around when hunting that country that we would walk around in the dark with our rifles held above our head to catch us when we plummeted into the abyss. Some of those holes are incredible, and really scary how they can be covered up for the most part. Great job on the bull... -

Actual Weight of Meat - Can we be honest?
I just happened to have my butcher's sheet from this moose handy. The bull was 11 years old, and the four quarters with bone in, and all other salvageable meat weighed a combined 436 pounds.- ----

I love threads like this. The quality of some of the hunts I've had in units that take a truckload of points is truly mind boggling. Yes, OTC hunts do tend to crank out some of the biggest animals, but running around a giant chunk of public land with only a handful of other tagholders and tons... -

Break open your first aid kits for me
