Third choice doe tag, be a good chance to hunt with the pops, still waiting on Elk and Speedgoat but not holding out hope for getting either of those this year
Looks like wolves are still listed as endangered in Colorado? Not seeing anything that specifies which portion of the state in under a different designation.

Also looks like you can still comment on the proposed delisting until July...
Are they still recommendations or is this what the seasons are going to look like for the next 7 years? The header on the document you linked to says "Finalized by the Parks and Wildlife Commission – July 2019"
I think it's interesting that CPW is coming out now and saying, "Hey, look, there are wolves in Colorado" where as in the past I feel like they weren't interested in addressing the rumors. But now that the Rocky Mountain Wolf Action Fund is trying to put reintroduction onto the ballot in 2020...
Apparently they're on board?

I'm on their emailing list and in their June newsletter they outline their opposition to the mad rabbit trails proposal which would add 79 miles of what looks to be primarily mountain biking trails outside of steamboat...
Looks like the third part of that series came out yesterday. And most of this story is taking place on private property which wouldn't apply to what's going down in this thread but it seems Wyoming has some clarifying to do.

I think it's cool that BHA is doing something like this
I'm trying to remember if it was mentioned in the article but how do these commissioners get selected to sit on this board? Feel free to shoot me a link if that's covered elsewhere, I don't mind reading
Read that a week or so ago.
"Indeed, agriculture and other business interests have direct influence on the agency, which is governed by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission. Currently, there are more representatives on the commission with ties to agriculture, recreation and tourism than...
Also be aware that they are using a new system this year and previously you could purchase tags only via phone or in person for the first day they were offered. I've stood in line the past two years and even without people online trying to get tags the system has crashed within the first 15...
Congrats on your buck and thanks for posting your story. I was able to get a third season leftover buck tag for Colorado in a new area. I wasn't successful but also wasn't able to spend the time required to be successful. I'll echo that a day scouting before the season starts in invaluable in...
My dad and I will be chasing speed goats in unit 4 here this next weekend, if no ones chimed in with a weather report I'll update you when I get back. You headed up first season?
Not all first rifle hunts require points. You can check out the CPW's elk statistics for draw results for the previous year to get an idea of what you would need to pull a tag
If you look at ColoradoHunter's first post with the table of available tags for unit 28, you'll notice that the tags that you can apply for during the 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons are only cow tags. Bull tags for those units are OTC so they don't even give you an option to put in for a Bull tag in...
