Such an impossible task.
Hunting/fishing:
1- Kill a ram. Any ram.
2- Get back to Alaska for a moose hunt.
3- Have at least one hunt with my sons and dad together.
4- Land a blue marlin. Been so close.
5- Have an awesome hunt to look forward to each year.
Life:
1- See my kids grow up...
Some pretty cool folks on here. Wish I could hunt for an afternoon with each of you.
1- Got stuck in the foot at age 8 with a pitchfork after feeding the calves while hurrying home for family movie night. Watched the movie with my foot in salt water.
2- Caught a 50-lb Dorado in Mexico and he...
Not to detract too much from the original post, but it would be pretty neat to hear your favorite two or three hunts.
For myself, I have taken a dozen elk with half of them bulls, close to the same number of deer and bucks, and one bison. Been on a 30 day Alaska hunt helping my dad (one moose...
Oh man, those were the days! I remember organizing them into teams and memorizing stats as if doing so would make me a better player! 😂
I ended up with some good ones, including lots of Jordan's, magic, Bird, Elway, Rice, Montana, Sanders, etc… My favorite was Bo with his iconic...

I totally get the motivation and it’s frustrating that it can seem so far away. However, buying into this the “I must do this now or I’ll never be able to” fear game is why Alaska hunts are as expensive as they are and why Americans are being crushed by debt. Think about someone in the hunting...
Which is another reason why applying and fronting the money should be required to obtain a point.
Although, it always amazes me what some people are willing to spend on hunting. I know individuals taking out $30,000 loans to go hunt in Alaska. Absolutely insane IMO.
I should’ve prefaced it by saying that I’m really not trying to be cynical and there are still some opportunities out there, but it really is not like it used to be and it won’t be for a very long time and we need to accept that reality. So, we do our best and hopefully we all still get some...
All great ideas that I REALLY like, but even with those changes I don’t think we would see an appreciable change in the problems big fin articulated. The real problems are driven by a HUGE increase in interest/demand that is nearly exclusively caused by the availability of information and the...
