Was hoping someone can answer this question regarding children/youths in the field with an adult tag holder:
My son is planning on joining me for a late season cow elk hunt. I drew the tag and will be carrying the firearm. Does my son need a hunters safety certificate to be in the field with me?
I am confused on the CO preference points. When and how do you purchase a preference point in CO? For instance can I purchase an OTC tag and purchase a preference point or do I have to purchase the preference when the draw opens in 23?
Thanks
My hunting group is not getting their act together to go hunting this year so I am going out on my own. I have two options:
DIY in a unit where I have hunted, but had a rough go, and be by myself in the back country. Also me camping in the back county not much though.
Option two an outfitter...
I am shooting .284, 150gr ttsx, 2875fps, Zeiss v4 conquest ZMOAi-1 6x24 I do most my shooting near cedar springs, mi. Zero is 200yrds
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for explaining. I used the inches just as point of reference to help get a feel for the moa drop. I will now try and verify the moa’s match with the apps.
Bought a new scope this year and sited it in, and have used it for hunting this year with holdovers since I was unable to verify dialing.
I have used a couple of apps and I get the following details:
7.4 inch drop
9 clicks with 1/4 marks for MAO
So does this mean I do 7 whole numbers or is it...
I have vortex, Zeiss, and leupold. Two of the vortex have gone back for warranty and I have had at least 3 go back to leupold go back. Each time leupold has given me a hard time, and have been slow to send a replacement or repair the scope.
Might be time to save up and go to a NF on my next rifle.
