In all seriousness, I personally don't know how this settles out. I personally feel the federal government overplayed their hand. Taking it any further shows the open border agenda. IMHO, there is dereliction of duty there.
As much as I hate to admit it, I am a modern day slave. I will be well into my 60's when I can muster up the extended leave of absence. By that time, I will be a REMF.
I'll probably end up drawing lines on OnX and then importing them to Google Earth. Not the best approach, but I have done it before when the data I was looking for didn't exist.
I have 5 points in Black Hills and 5 points in West River. More than I need for sure for some areas. For West River, I am leaning towards 02C just for the idea of hunting an area with the badlands as a backdrop.
Are there downloadable layers for South Dakota for like other western states? I found their public land layer on their website. Not sure if they have layers out there already for game management boundaries and such.
Thanks!
I can’t take credit for him. It’s his mother’s doing. She pulled me from the flame and is guiding our family like a saint.
I only hope to be half the father as she is a mother to our kids.
Late posting this, but thought I would share. It's my 10 year old son's first deer, that happens to also be a dandy buck for Kentucky.
He has hunted with me for a long time, but always told me he wanted the first deer to be a good one. Big Buck Down is what he used to say. He has passed on...
Good luck!
I have 5 Black Hills and West River points. I haven’t been able to swing a SD trip yet so I keep buying preference points.
Hope to make it out next year for one of those hunts. Can’t wait!
