    We use it for tacos fairly often. Just add a packet of the taco seasoning and a little water or juice from the jar to about a lb of it (little less than a packet for a pint jar) and make soft shell tacos with rice / beans, lettuce olives, whatever, etc....

    Grinding day

    Thanks for sharing. I made up a batch of breakfast sausage last week from my deer. I use the Leggs seasoning as well, and mixed it 60/40 deer/pork shoulder. Coarse grind, add seasoning, coarse grind again. Done and package.

    I worked in a beef packing plant when I was younger. If a quarter hit the floor- it was hung up and then trimmed, and then inspected by USDA on-site person. I think your plan makes good sense.

    First big game rifle was a model 94 30-30. Don't have the gun anymore. I think I sold it to my brother. Bought a .30-06 Rem 700 put a VX1 on it, and still have it, and use it occasionally.
