Things to do around Eureka MT?
the great northern in whitefish seems to always have something going on weekend nights, several good brews to be had there, also a good brewery in Libby... endless outdoor recreation in all directions to be found. Bring fishing equipment- Ridgerunner6901

Rifle Cartridges for Hunting
Love the creative pictures, I'll just try and list in chronologic order: 22lr 30-30 270 30-06 308 204 300 ultra 357 Now pretty much just use a bow and 300 win mag for everything since I rarely hunt small game or coyotes anymore- Ridgerunner6901

Does pack color really matter?
The greatest elk hunt I've ever had the privilege of being on 2 out of three of us had bright blue pack covers on, the other was blaze orange.. when the situation is right an elk or a deer wont care what you spent on camo. But in no way am I recommending a bright blue pack cover... it just...- Ridgerunner6901

Acclimatization, coming from mid-west.

Chasing elk in the Bighorns...
Congrats and great story. I once by chance hiked to the top of sheep mountain and my then future wife and I weathered a stormy night only to be greeted by elk bugles and a grazing moose at dawn. I hope to one day make it back to the bighorns. They are special for sure.- Ridgerunner6901
