The funny thing I have learned about all the blather when it comes to rifles is that when you find one that shoots great…you won’t need another for years.
Plenty of them out there. You will find one and be happy.
First truck was 1966 Ford Bronco with a straight six and three on the tree. Heat barely worked and that was before climate change...
I now drive a 2021 GMC Denali 2500. I do have a 66 Bronco that I am in the process of restoring back to the way my original 66 was (except with working heat).
I have one that is a 1990's I believe and another that I bought five or so years ago. I love them and have never had an issue. Every Labor Day I start by shooting 3.5" shells on resident geese and then shoot dove loads in the afternoon. No adjustments...flawless.
I am a Broilmaster fan. You simply can’t kill them and they last for YEARS. I mean like many years. Swap the burner every so often and they will last longer than you. My current grill is as least 20 years old and operates like it’s new.
I own my business and could hang it up today. A bunch of great people have been along for the ride (various skill levels). I keep "working" because I still enjoy it although I do take A LOT of time off. The joke is I actually retired but Human Resources just hasn't figured it out yet.
I had the same thing happen and ended up with a dozen low end shotguns and rifles I would never use. I took them all to the local gun shop and traded them on a gun I did want. You can make new memories with that new rifle or shotgun.
