.270 Winchester favorites?
I have always been a .270 guy and learned to like the .270 from an older friend who does my loads for me. He has always hand loaded 150gr Sierra BT's with IMR 4831. My tikka shoots them right at 2770 fps. Nothing special about the bullet or the load, but it has killed a lot of elk. -

Paper to Print MT Licenses
Can you print the tag to a PDF? Or even screen capture the page? Not doing this for shady purposes, but I like the idea of keeping a backup electronic copy that can be printed if needed again. -

Gaia Maps just released a new update, that allows their maps to work with Apple Carplay.....Onx, please follow suit. This is the biggest feature I have wanted for these app's. It sounds like the road is now paved, I hope you can follow it.- GearJunky

Interesting reaction to the shot
In my experience, this seems to be the normal reaction for heart shots. I have killed several mule deer with heart shots, all of them reared up like a stallion and then fell over dead. I have also seen Bison who were heart shot, did the same thing. To me and my buddies, the stallion rear up... -

Anyone Using Burris?
I had the 4-20 and really did like it. I mounted it onto a tikka t3 in .270. The scope was too big, I felt, for that gun and it seemed to make it off-balanced. But, it shot extremely well and I hunted with the setup for a full season. I now have a 3-15x42 leupold Vx-5hd, that seems to fit the... -

Anyone Using Burris?
I have been happy with Burris. I have experience with the veracity series. I would very pleased with the build quality and glass, only negative I saw was the weight and size of the scope (big and Heavy)... but it was excellent build quality. -

MT Snowies elk
just to add my two cents... several elk get killed every year on the N-bar. They (Wilks) are hunters and invite others to hunt it.
