    Moose in Montana

For what he spent on that state wide tag he could have come to Alberta and shot what he was looking for 2-3 times is my guess. just FWIW, my guess is 40K USD??? I loved the OP and the turmoil from it. Made my day so far with the humour from others. They are bang on with their statements of...

    2021 AB Antelope scouting

I went out on the weekend and burned a tank of fuel in Antelope country here to see what I could find. A few fawns were seen and I also saw a few coyotes being chased by antelope does so the timing is now for sure. Damn things...... Here are a few pics of what I found. A few loners, a group...

Border closure and spring outfitting season

It looks like in Alberta right now we have the highest per capita rate in North America now of spreading this stuff. We are to expect a lock down order tonight perhaps of further restrictions. With the amount of people in AB determined to not get the vaccines available, it looks like this...

The Sage Grouse Crisis has Reached Critical Mass

I was told by a buddy who has Bison, that the Bison will not devastate the grass in their paddock like cows will. He says they naturally create a pattern of grazing that allows for some re-growth within the paddock they are in, much smarter than domestic cattle he says.....domestic cows will...

After I draw my guaranteed resident Big Horn Sheep tag in an archery only zone, i'll purchase that tag for approx $60 CDN, and my hunting license for $28 CDN, so approx. $71 USD plus tax. Sure as hell beats 60K USD for the same guided hunt.....

    Idaho Wolf full body mount

in that pose is sure looks too much like a domestic dog, i'd pass on that one. One of the toughest critters to get a "wild " look to them.

What did you, or are you still hoping to draw? I’m stoked!

Guaranteed an Alberta WMU 410 Bighorn sheep archery Ram and Ewe tags this year, looking forward to hunting sheep with a bow again during the rut in a archery only zone with 3 buddies that will also be drawn. Also guaranteed for an archery antelope tag this year so its going to be a good one!

Border closure and spring outfitting season

I do not feel bad for any of the Canadian outfitters actually. With the few discounts I saw last year provided to us residents, those guys can go down with the rest not lined up with the new era we live in. No protection for the local feed stop, no protection for the outfitters. How much rainy...
