Dying with points?
I built up enough points in California to finally draw the mule deer tag I wanted, I think it was six or seven points. Then my job moved me to east coast and now to NM and I suppose my California points still sit unused. I've got better hunts closer to home now and will probably never look back.- Rzrbk

I've seen similar BS at the past two ranges where I've been a member; in Maryland and NM. The range in MD went out to 100 yards for rifle and had two pistol ranges. It was set up with "no sky" barriers where a round could not leave without hitting structure. People would shoot the structures...- Rzrbk

Welcome from NM. I lived near Sacramento and hunted N California for quite a few years. The deer are pretty sparse, so I'd make sure to pack into an area where I'd enjoy the camping experience whether I saw deer or not. -

Unit 16C Logistics for 2023 elk hunt

Favorite catfish bait
chicken liver was our "go-to" growing up with a crew that was very serious about catfish. We tried other stuff but chicken liver seemed best overall.
