    Plantar Fasciitis

It takes a long time to get over it somewhat. Stretch flat barefooted shoulder width apart. Lean forward and keep your heels on the floor hold for a count of 30. Release for 20 seconds Repeat 3 times twice a day. Or do a one foot stretch one leg back same deal flat on floor barefoot and keep...

    Elk gun for wife

I have shoulder problems. So ended up with the Browning Hells Canyon long range in 6.5 creedmore. So have only shot it at the range. There is some recoil but nothing like my Weatherby .270. I should have the butt trimmed down. Hoping to be back in the field this fall/winter. Big tear in the...

Fur guys - what did I do wrong?

If the badger was taken in December it wasn't fully primed. So down the middle of the back isn't filled in. It's a nice colored badger. Badgers prime usually fully in February and March. It's still a nice colored one and a nice wall hanger.

Had one male dog the loved to hunt chukars. He wouldn't point, love to bump them to watch them fly and he would retrieve.

    Whats Your Favorite "Hacks"

If you get grease (vehicle kind) on your cloths. Take crisco and rub into the grease until it changes color then put some liquid soap or what ever you have on hand and wash/rinse it right there and then. It'll take the stain out. Also mix 1 cup of the ultra blue Dawn dish soap with one cup of...

Any trappers using their dogs to help

Get the pup off the teat and always have them by your side. Teach them come, sit and not to bark. Let them bond to you. It's just repeat, repeat and repeat on your training. Once they bond to you they will be by your side forever. If they are half way smart you'll be learning from them. Our dog...

    Anyone every head of this

KYboy, never let the hounds run coyotes. They were used for tracking coyotes on drags that got far out that we couldn't trail. They were also used for hunting cougar or bobcats and bear. They were good all around dogs that just went everywhere with us. The Kemmer Stock Man Curs were a royal...

    Anyone every head of this

If used long enough and trained to commands dogs will do most anything. We didn't use our dogs as decoy because we usually had 3-4 dogs with us at all times. Hard to keep track of dogs (more than one) while calling and not accidentally shoot one. He had to have some fast dogs to catch even...

Any trappers using their dogs to help

All of our dogs that we've used on the trapline they all marked even the females. We have just one black mouth cur now and he's a marking machine. I swear his bladder holds about 25 gallons. Dog's just learn or already know to mark things. They also become wise to trapping lures and traps. Sure...

Neighbor said he felt a couple of aftershocks but we haven't. Some other that live up river towards Stanley are saying they...

We rolled and rolled here in Challis. Nothing broken here, neighbors had some things fall off the headboard and break. BIL just called from SLT and said they felt it. All of Boise Valley felt it and Cascade.

    Self Quarantine Entertainment Content

I have a ton of yard work to do. Also being in central Idaho we are some what isolated (I hope). Unless it rains or snows some more I'll be outside. Thank goodness for 2.5 acres to work/walk around on. If I do go out it's sanitize the hands and truck each time I get back in. It's life and a good...

    Music instruments

One of the better natural piano player was JoAnn Cassidy on Lawrence Welk show. I love that style of playing. I have my grandfathers violin who was one armed. He'd pin the bow to his one arm and saw away. Only heard him play it once. He lost his arm to gangrene at the elbow when he was younger.

    Off season fitness

Plus forgot, we have a lot of firewood to get in this summer plus a big garden to plant and tend too. I don't need a gym to workout in. I have the great outdoors to do it in and all the work that is needed to survive.

    Hunting after knee replacement

Well, I had my right knee done 9 years ago. Had the left knee done Sept 2019. I'm just know getting out and going. But we have a foot of snow on the ground and the roads are just now opening up. Started walking slowly building up to longer distances. Figure a year to be back to/close to normal...
