The 6.5 Creedmoor, 260 Remington, and 7-08 all have similar case capacities, and all shoot 140 grain bullets about the same speed, yet the additional . 007 makes the little 7 magic. I’ve killed a variety of game with all of them and see no difference. -

.223/5.56 confusion
An AR with a standard 223 Remington chamber will be an odd duck. Most are 223/556 , 556, 223 Wylde, occasionally I see a 223 CLE. I would have a competent gunsmith take a look at it. -

Does anyone have a favorite ladder stand?
Almost all of the massed produced big box store brands come out of China, so pick one, there is not hutch difference in any of them. The Millenium stands seem to be a step up. -

shortages
Hit or miss around here. 223/556, 308, 9mm, .40 is tough. Places that have it are limiting it to 1-2 boxes per person. Hunting ammo depends on the caliber. Shotgun ammo is plentiful. Whats the best deer cartridge?
I’ve killed them with everything from a . 222 to a 45-70. Every single one of them did i the same thing if I put the bullet in the vitals. Killed the deer. I’ve killed more with a 25-06 than anything. It works extremely well on deer sized game with being obnoxious. -
