Who has drawn either of these hunts for cow elk? Do you have a tribal guide you recommend or better yet one you want to avoid? Looking to hopefully draw one of these and put some meat in the freezer this fall. Thanks -

I wouldn't mind trying for a Jan deer hunt there either but need to do some more research on the unit and google earth looking. I would think I should be able to snag a javelina tag when as I don't think they go on sale until March but I could be wrong. I tell people all the time I can't read so...- rebelmdb

I have never hunted NM for javelina, I am looking at units 29,30 as they look to be OTC, for next season. Do they hold a decent population of them? How Do I Hunt Public Land?
My favorite way is to drive down the road and see a group of critters. Don’t worry about those pesky fences and just start blasting. Once you get a couple down you can either just drive right through the fence or cut it. Don’t worry about any of the stuff hurting your minivan it’s more for... -
