    Jicarilla and Mescalero Cow Hunts

The cow was $950 plus your tribal guide fee, so $2k. Mule deer the tag is $20k and I think bull elk is $15k

    Jicarilla and Mescalero Cow Hunts

Hot damn that sounds like a ride. I did happen to speak to the biologist today at the Jicarilla and he gave me some good information on the herd and the process. I also spoke to a potential guide and asked about archery hunting for one and he got really excited and said he loves bow hunting but...

Outfitter Contracts - What are you signing

That is absolutely correct, especially one that has no idea what they are signing or getting into.

    Kansas Geese

Lots of birds in KS usually. I try and get up there a couple times a season and hunt with buddies. Nice hunts

    Jicarilla and Mescalero Cow Hunts

Who has drawn either of these hunts for cow elk? Do you have a tribal guide you recommend or better yet one you want to avoid? Looking to hopefully draw one of these and put some meat in the freezer this fall. Thanks

    Previous Co cow moose hunters

I am hoping to pull a cow moose tag next year with 3 points but I am forever doubtful. Going to have to start looking at units fairly hard and make a decision.

Outfitter Contracts - What are you signing

Outfitters go one of two ways with contracts the good ol boy version which is basically signing and saying you will be there and pay, or the I had an attorney write this and I want my rear covered when some dummy shoots himself in the leg. But it is always wise to read everything on them because...

    NM Javelina

I wouldn't mind trying for a Jan deer hunt there either but need to do some more research on the unit and google earth looking. I would think I should be able to snag a javelina tag when as I don't think they go on sale until March but I could be wrong. I tell people all the time I can't read so...

    NM Javelina

All good most guys are probably posting for that information as well. Don't get me wrong I will take that information also LOL. But I figure if I can go chase stink pigs and scout for a hopefull barb hunt that would be a win win in my book

    NM Javelina

Interesting I assumed since it wasn't listed specifically it would be OTC for Javelina. Guess I really can't read hahaha

    NM Javelina

I have never hunted NM for javelina, I am looking at units 29,30 as they look to be OTC, for next season. Do they hold a decent population of them? I have a different motive for spending time in the units if you can guess LOL. Figure it would be a good way to scout for barbary sheep as well. I...

How Do I Hunt Public Land?

My favorite way is to drive down the road and see a group of critters. Don’t worry about those pesky fences and just start blasting. Once you get a couple down you can either just drive right through the fence or cut it. Don’t worry about any of the stuff hurting your minivan it’s more for...

    Waterfowl, let’s see them!

Here’s some from NJ, the leustic one is a redhead according to the Biologist I shot on my family ranch in OK. The black duck pintail mount is a combo of OK and NJ.

    Waterfowl, let’s see them!

Thank you guys. I’ll try and find some from other hunts. I love taking pics during and after a hunt. My daughter wants to start doing it as well with a nice camera so that would be cool. Any excuse to get her to go with me.
