Deer and elk on the same night? Sure. Why not?

Gotcha. I would buy the e version but many of the places I would want to use them aren’t allowed. Unless there’s a loophole somewhere. I’m still not sure if a motorized game cart falls under the “motorized travel” law. It’s been tossed around plenty on forums and I’ve yet to see a concrete answer.

Montana September rifle hunt (HD 150)

Very cool! Congratulations on a fine bull and a great adventure. Bugling is up and down no matter what time of the year it is. I’ve had bulls going nuts on September 3rd and then nothing all through a late September weekend. You just never know. If it gets hot, it seems to shut them down...

Deer and elk on the same night? Sure. Why not?

How do you like the packwheel? I’ve thought about buying one for several years now.

    Wyoming gen areas

I think I can clear this up... I hope anyway. Dl, you’re just simply not understanding the way the regs are written. Correct me if I’m wrong but you’re reading the verbiage of “antlered deer off private land” as “taking a deer off private land” example “I killed this buck over on Ned’s place...

    Cow Elk Hunt WY-31

Carson, I live right next to the unit. It's not typically too much trouble to find a cow elk out there. Don't be afraid to PM me if you get in a bind, need a packer, or need any help at all. -Trent

Four bearded fools on a Blue Ribbon adventure

That was a great read! I enjoy your writing style...and your dinners. I usually go for the slightly more expensive bud light, but they're in the same category of "cheap". I also own 2 of those bearded dogs myself. Lots of good stuff here!

    Wyoming general vs limited entry

338, I too would go with the tag you know. Experience is extremely key! You’ll be starting over anywhere else. Finding elk is 90% of the battle! As far a tag that’s general for residents and limited for non, I don’t think that’s a possibility in Wyoming. If residents are hunting with the...

    471 AZ bull

Griz, While I don’t know the real super specifics on this hunt, as I’ve never had the money to look into it that much. These high dollar tags are open for an entire year. Say it’s August 1 2020 - July 31st 2021. The have a LONG time to track down a giant bull but if they’ve got one pegged right...

    Cody, WY meat packers

I never did find anyone but I didn’t try too hard honestly. 406, I wouldn’t imagine anyone in that position would take on the adventure like you described. I figured it was hunting season and there would be an outfitter or two already in the area who would be interested. I spent two days packing...

    Wyoming Antelope Unit 21

I’ve hunted it before, and like most units in this category it is possible to have success. I found out it takes a lot more boot leather than the average antelope hunt. You are probably drawn to the big expanses of BLM on the western half of the unit. Most of that is fairly mountonous and...

    Wyoming Unit 100-6 Cow Elk

Trailrider, I had to go look up the type 6 stuff for myself to make sure I had all your information understood clearly. A ton of that country is basically featurless. Just rolling sagebrush hills. The elk you will see are very nombadic. Here today and gone tomorrow. Or bust them and literally...

Getting caught back up! - 2019 Bull

Thanks for the kind words guys and thanks Matt for giving me the kick in the rear to get everything figured back out to log in! brownbear relief is an understatement. I wasn’t happy about any part of the situation Id put myself in and hadn’t yet seen the silver lining of that magnificent...

Getting caught back up! - 2019 Bull

hahaha! Understood! For clarification I use the 125gr slick trick standards, but I’m sure the magnums are just as deadly. The argument is slick tricks don’t make great blood trails and I can’t say I disagree. But I’ve killed 4 bulls with them. None of the blood trails have been easy when I’ve...

Getting caught back up! - 2019 Bull

Thanks everyone! Good to see you’re still hanging around here John! I shoot an 09 bowtech 82nd airborne. Easton fmjs 340 spine pushing a 125 gr slick trick. Nothing too fancy but I have a ton of confidence in the setup. It’s what I’ve killed all my big bulls with.

Getting caught back up! - 2019 Bull

Thank you guys! One fourth was 22 and change and the other 23 and change I believe. it’s one of those things I didn’t do then that NOW I wish I would’ve. When I walked up on the bull the arrow was sticking out of his chest with seemingly not much penetration.I was going “How!? I saw the arrow...

Getting caught back up! - 2019 Bull

I had been summoned by Matt / Duckslayer to get on the forum as my AZ thread had been dug up. I had turned into a lurker in 2018 after having problems logging in. I want to say there was a site update or something but I could be wrong. Regardless I took the time to get everything sorted out and...
