Question for anyone into older S&W revolvers, I bought what I thought was a Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman 357 but upon inspection of the frame under the cylinder, it says Model 57, which would make it a 41mag . Gun also came with the original blue/silver S&W box, which is labeled with Model 28-2... -

Not sure what area you’re hunting near Rawlins but I hunted antelope in 2018 in 108 and if you’re not a trophy hunter you can be done by 9am on Day 1. Plenty of nice antelope in that region- pwrwgn57

What were your worst caliber/rifle choices
I had the exact same gun and similar experience. So disappointing because the gun was beautiful but best I could get was around 2-3” -

The death of the 16 Ga....Why?
Just bought the wife a 16 gauge for xmas and I’ve been finding ammo here and there even with the shortages. Cabelas had 16 ammo in stock when I was there last week. Have a 28 that I love to carry for grouse too that replaced my 20. -

7 preffy points
I’ve hunted 49 twice, it can get busy with campers and ORV‘s first season if the weather is nice. Getting away from roads helps but area still sees a lot of use. Unit 49 is a long shot with 7 points, took 9 last year to guarantee a tag. Also hunted 551 twice second season, elk the first time... -

Bino rental
I rented a spotting scope in 2018 for a WY antelope hunt. Super easy, company I used shipped it to my door with a return slip included, when you’re done with it, drop it at Fed Ex to ship back. If I draw this year I may rent a set of 15x56 swarovskis from them. -
