I live in PA as well. Check Craigslist, I see a lot of stuff listed on there. Guy in Womelsdorf has a bunch of goose decoys and layout blinds listed Right now.
My 2012 Cummins just turned 100k on the way to KS at New Years and it got me thinking about buying a newer vehicle. The mileage some of you have is crazy.
Opens up more options for your then if you go with the slide in. When I bought my truck I didn’t pay much attention to the payload rating, I got a good deal and was more interested in the towing. Started looking at slide in campers in 2019 then realized my payload rating sucks and would be...
Another vote for the pull behind, I currently have a 29‘ toy hauler that has plenty of space, towing it with a Ram 2500 diesel. Do you have a diesel or gas motor in the 2500? If it’s a diesel check your payload rating because you’re pretty limited.
I bought some Stealthcams on Camofire but I haven’t put them up so no experience yet. I bought them to replace some old Cuddebacks that would do that once the batteries drained to a certain level. Would come back to check them after a couple weeks and have 4000 pictures showing nothing...

Have used the Aaa! with all of my labs, currently working with the 5 month old pup on this. Have also used the head tap to release when in the field.
I also use Leave It! for anything I don’t want them inspecting or picking up.
Not all labs are built like that, ake a look at American Labs rather than the English ones. They look more like traditional upland dogs vs short and blocky for the English ones.
As for smaller breed, a Brittany would be around 30-40 pounds and are excellent upland hunters.
Limited public land close to Philly and it gets very crowded. Driving an hour or two north gets you 100k+ acres of public in the Poconos but it can still be busy. Plenty of squirrrels, but hunting them with dogs might be difficult due to the size of public lands. Most local lakes have warm water...
