UPS sucks
If you have the option, go to the UPS distribution center to ship items. Employees at the UPS stores aren’t knowledgable on the shipping rules but typically the workers at the center are pretty good. Hornady 300 wsm ammo
Had this problem several years ago with two boxes of 300 wsm Federal 180’s, they were manufactured before the demand skyrocketed. Like std7 indicated, just because the factory loaded it doesn’t mean its always right.- pwrwgn57

What was your first big game rifle, and do you still have it?
Started hunting with a Remington 760 in 270 when I was 14. Had the see thru scope rings which were horrible actually trying to see thru the scope. Still in the back of the safe 30+ years later, changed out the rings but I’ve never killed anything with it. May need to change that this year. -

Gloves - Best for late season pheasants.
I typically wear either a pair of unlined deerskin gloves or a pair of uninsulated Mechanix workwear gloves. Both are thin enough for good trigger feel and plenty warm when walking. Never seen the need for insulated gloves during bird hunting.- pwrwgn57

Hercules and IronMan Tires...yes more tire questions
Have you looked at moving to a 275/60 tire, minimal height increase but there‘s a ton of choices in that size. Also,unless thats a typo, 285 65 is a much larger height tire than you’re currently running and probably won’t fit.- pwrwgn57

I’ve had good luck with Maxxis Razr Mt’s on my truck but if I didn’t care about using them onroad then I’d probably go with Super Swampers.- pwrwgn57

QUALITY Big Guy gear
Does seem like the cutoff for a lot of hunting clothing manufacturers is around 42/32 or 42/34 on their pants. Kuiu does make 3xl tops and jackets in some of their lines, and some of their pants go up to 42x37 in their tall inseam. Looks like Skre makes up to 4x in their tops. As many on this...- pwrwgn57

dougdelite: pheasants without a dog? is it possible?
If they do their pheasant stocking similar to PA there will be multiple days over the course of the season when they will put birds out. Suppressor Ready Rifle?
The Wilderness Ridge is threaded 5/8x24 and the brake comes off. I'm assuming the Ridge is threaded with the same pitch but I couldn't find that on the website. I have a Bergara Hunter in 300 Win Mag and I like it so far. Some people aren't fans of it but I like their soft touch stock... -
