It depends on what you want to do with it. If you're looking for a toy, it's probably ok. But if you're looking for a serious scope, not so much. I do infrared as part of my business, so here's my input: the thermal sensor has a resolution of 160x120 pixels, which is low quality in the infrared...
I’ve thought of doing this, but the front hitches are only rated for 5,000 lbs. Pulling a stuck truck is way over that. I have a friend who bent his front hitch pretty badly pulling out of the mud.
I had a Fab Fours winch mount on my pickup, and the quality was very good. I had some issues with the one I bought, and they sent me a new one no questions asked, even paid for the freight to my door. Very good company to deal with.
The iPad has to have cellular capability to have gps. For some reason they don't include a GPS receiver on the wifi only models. A company called bad elf makes a GPS receiver that plugs into the lightning port for about $100.
This isn't the case. Onx goes years in between their ownership updates. I have family that bought 300 acres four years ago and it's still listed under the previous owner on Onx. It's identified correctly on BaseMap, though.
Flycraft has been at the sportsman show in Washington the last couple years. Their boat seems good quality & well built. I'd buy one if I had the cash. www.flycraftusa.com/
I always have paper maps with me for the reasons many others have said. This year I’ve started using Rugged Maos and like them a lot. They’re big and great for changing the plan during a hunt.
if they can do it consistently & humanely, I don't have an issue with it. I don't have a place to practice past 200, so that's my limit on the hunt. When I was in the Navy I was guaranteed money to 600, though. So if I had. place to practice, I might take the shot, too.
I would focus on building the weight up to 50-60 pounds & figure on carrying @ 35 max on the hunt. I focus a lot more on squats than a stair machine. When hunting season is close, I do a ton of squats holding dumbbells straight out in front of me. 8 lbs in each hand & I try to do 4 sets of 50...
This is why I always hunt alone. I got tied of always being used for an unpaid guide. It was always my travel trailer being used, my tent, my truck, on & on. They would never go along on any scouting trips, and then complain about how the hunting sucks because they didn't get a whatever we were...
Two colors of metallic epoxy mixed together. After it sits about 45 minutes, throw denatured alcohol on it to make it flow & take on the random shapes.
