I won't argue that bear hunting is crappy in Colorado. Especially, in my area. I'm not saying anybody should break the law and not get the bear inspected. I'm not sure it's the same as poaching. I've been doing this for awhile. I observe a lot that isn't legal. It would be nice to think stats are 100% accurate but i'm not that naive. Speeding is illegal too.- Muley_Stalker

New to elk hunting
If your plan is to do an OTC hunt in Taylor Park you don't need someone to hunt with you. You'll have so much company that you'll find it hard to believe anybody gets an elk. Rut is over and the elk are hiding. Especially, the mature bulls.- Muley_Stalker

12 Colorado deer points
My unit is like that. Only 10 doe tags are given to muzzy season, No doe tags in archery or rifle seasons. It takes 2-3 points to get a doe tag. We have a 45% chance for a buck tag with no points. It works for me. I only want a buck tag.- Muley_Stalker

Accura V2 discontinued
I know they have a new Accura PR because I just gave it back to them and got a Lyman Signature Series GPR. The PR has the Cerakote and Burris scope. I never shot it.- Muley_Stalker

I changed back to the caplock because I found a place to sell me 1000 RWS 1075 #11 caps. Plus, I don't need a .54 for just deer. My elk days are over. Plus, there never was a Hawken half stock flintlock. I like to keep it as real as possible. As for the twist. The .50 is 1-48 but has .012 deep...- Muley_Stalker

I just bought this Hawken .50. It will be my new muley hunter. I would have got a .54 but that would be more for elk and my elk days are done now. edit.....I just changed the order to a .54 flintlock.
