    Public Health Emergency

She is disappointed she doesn't have Kamala's job. She is doing her best to be ready for higher office, and NM is as backwater as you can get so she has to make noise. David NM

    Public Health Emergency

Factually correct. You totally missed the point.

    monsoons

Really glad it worked for you! My near vision isn't as good as I had hoped, but to pick out hummingbirds in the top of trees is a joy! I have some focus issues with my sights when shooting my handgun (had to re-qual on Sunday), but I think I can manage to work it out since the front sight is...

    Public Health Emergency

This is all about the wisdom of those that are destined to lead us, because we are the poor beknighted and they are Annointed. Grand, sweeping solutions to the cosmic problems of the world are their business, and if those solutions appear to not work it is just because we down here don't...

    Public Health Emergency

This pisses me off the more I think about it. So, the ones doing the killing are not going to obey, and those of us who obey will be surrendering our means of protecting ourselves and our families. David NM

    Public Health Emergency

Just how does she have the authority to suspend a law, and to arrest someone that still follows it? Sadly, the Supreme Court in NM is bought and paid for, in her back pocket. I believe there is a larger agenda in play. NM is so deep blue in the political offices that this is the perfect...

    One down, 19 to go.

Well, once my shoulder is fixed, and you can see, I'll have to come down that way and meet you in Pie Town for a slice of pie. We can regale each other with NM stories from non-natives, and make plans for our next conquests. As to the eye - you will be amazed, but allow it a few weeks to...

    One down, 19 to go.

Eye Associates is who I used, in Santa Fe. I can see elk now, even the sights on my muzzleloader. But my rotator cuff, biceps tendon, and something other else are torn to pieces (I should have said no to helping my friend move) and surgery is November 8. But on the green side of the grass...

    One down, 19 to go.

I hope your cataract surgery goes as well as mine did. Who are you seeing for the surgery? Was that a pun? David NM

    .50 Caliber for Elk Hunting

With patched round ball? Nothing past 100 yards. Give a try with shooting two patched round balls, one on top of the other. You will be surprised how close together they hit on the target. I would do that with a .50, I don't think a .50 is heavy enough. YMMV David NM

New Mexico Elk - Unit 52

just north of Canon Plaza is a camping area where you can park a trailer. As to hunting the area, my success makes my advice somewhat suspect.

    monsoons

Windy, clouds, but no rain hitting the dirt today. The next week looks dry, but maybe them weather forecasters are wrong... David NM

College Football 🏈 Season is Here !!

I could point you toward some nice orange and black to upgrade your wardrobe. I mean, that big bright yellow zero is kinda, well, garish. David NM

    First hand Covid symptoms

Horse paste only happens because our benign government turned off the spigot to a drug that has been prescribed billions of times, safely. OK, off label - want to venture a guess as to what percentage of prescriptions written are off label? HINT: It ain't some tiny fraction

    Speed vs bloodshot

Patched round ball. I am pretty much a traditional muzzleloader guy. David NM

    Game changer

Bought one for my BIL ten or fifteen years ago as a joke. But, as a practical item, I've seen worse ideas. Kinda like a squatty potty for hunters. David NM

    Water - How Much?

Makes for a heavy pack, but up here it is so dry you will almost never carry too much. David NM

    Speed vs bloodshot

With PRB I have never had issues with blood shot meat. But, everything has to be within 100 yards or so. David NM

    monsoons

Just saw that they moved the warnings from 3pm to noon. Better go pull weeds and cut my little grass patch pretty soon. Not something most Nortenos will do, but will carry my umbrella when I go to the grocery this afternoon. Temps are nice, too - gets real hot in the garage at workout time...

    monsoons

Cloudy, cool start to the day. If we warm up much, kinda betting on some more thunderbumpers. Good soaking yesterday all over the area up here, we can use lots more. Concert-goers were disappointed, the storm at about 8pm closed them down, but I consider it a good trade. David NM
