As General Smedley Butler said, "War is a Racket." A very good pamphlet written by someone who had been there and done that.
I become more and more convinced that these conflicts are scripted, and part of a larger plan to keep enriching those that Butler and Eisenhower warned us of.
Think...
The Cowboys likely have an idea of reality, but the media wants them to be champs sooooo bad. Too bad reality and wish have a predictable outcome.

Stuff works very well, and stains deeply. Very poisonous, though. I use it on powder horns to age them. Just get some similarly faded antler pieces and see what you need to do for "dwell" time to get the right color.

We attend Sounders games when we are up there - been to many. The stadium is beautiful, modern. Parking is steep, but there are lots of pubs and eateries close by to hang out in after the game till the crowd tapers off, then get an Uber.

I think Grassley is the exception. But term limits, not age, should determine it. But good luck getting the very people we would see exit the office pass the amendment that could put them out of work.

Thanks, Hank. Will pull out the maps.
Next weekend looks like my only for grouse, too many plane tix. Thinking I borrow Annette's dog, and go for a walk. She hates gunshots, but runs to me for safety (go figure). Would love to have a bird or two since I can't play deer hunter or elk hunter...
Shoulder is shot, surgery due on 11/8. But I have these nice Remington 1100s, in 12 ga.
Anybody here know anything of grouse hunting in NM? I would really like to get out and hunt before October is over and my shoulder gets cut on. Figuring that the soft-shooting 1100 will be tolerable...
Totally for term limits. But since the term is set by the US Constitution, we are going to have to see an amendment to force term limits (just like for President). Until then, nothing we can do. We need to figger out how to get enough interest in term limits to make it happen.
Do understand...
We had good dutch oven meals, but of course we didn't tote one but used the ones at the various camps. Best peach cobbler and pound cakes, ever. Except for Chili Mac, MH is our go-to when out back or doing lazy camping.

Used to be Lipton made some great dehydrated meals, a fraction of the MH cost. We would have starved or quit backpacking if we had to use MH, high school and college kids could not afford it. Lipton Stroganoff became the standard.
Lipton quit making those dehydrated meals. So, we used...
My big flintlock with approx 340 gr .62 roundball and black powder is enough of a pounding. 600 grains over smokeless? At best a novelty, and certainly not something I would want to stand behind.
