I've only had two pairs of leaking gore-tex boots in the last 15 years and both were upland hunters going on a third year and had several hundred hard, hard miles on them. I always wear merino socks and have decent insoles. I get a little slack about cleaning the outsides which in both cases...

Tall guy hunting clothing?

Nothing in camo, but Eddie Bauer has tall sizes in its upland line and some muted colors in its first ascent stuff. I believe outdoor research has also started to offer parts of its line in sage and coyote colors under its tactical line, they may have some tall sizes as well. Good luck.

It does SVC Battery as I recall. I moved to Madison as a junior actually graduated from LQPV did 8 years in Monte before doing my last year attached to the AVN Brigade. Got out then did one more year in '05 at Ripley and Anoka.

Guys who use tarp shelters?

I am generally a warm sleeper and for me not using a full length pad is not an option. It may work in the summer months but if the weather has been cold at night the ground can be cold and it sucks the heat right out of my feet leaving me cold by morning.

Very nice, my old guard unit had one of the cannons given to the 1st Minnesota. They were not allowed to take any of the cannons to war as the 1st was mustered as an infantry unit. I like the piece you've collected.
