    I’ve gotten ticks in Jersey even in Feb. Anytime it gets above freezing, even in dead of winter, ticks are an issue.

    There was legislation introduced in the Senate earlier this year to do away with this nonsense. Support for it was absolute and bipartisan yet it still stalled in the house and went no where. Literally nothing gets full bipartisan support ever and even with that the gov can’t get things done…

    No complaints on my gear, but what I should have brought and didn’t was sunscreen… Was a successful hunt, but certainly the hottest and sunniest October western hunt I ever experienced. Actually got a bit of sunburn on my arms and face. Wasn’t planning on beach weather!

    2022 Wyoming general elk. Got there 3 days early to find the elk before opening day and ended up tagging out 20 minutes into the opener. Overall a great hunt even though the weather was like summertime.

    Taking a back up rifle?

    Always. Never had to use it, but it’s nice to know that it’s there in case something happens to the primary rifle. The backup rifle is like an insurance policy for the hunt, just like the 2 spare tires that I lug along on out of state hunts.
