Bullet selection for close range black bear
If you are concerned about a partition not working for bears, I guess I don’t know what to tell you. Swift A-Frame comes to mind, but the partitions or accubonds should work just dandy.- Blacktailbc

Rifle Build on a pre-64 model 70 action
This one is probably right in that weight range. Brown Precision stock , Shilen #4. .300 or 7 mag would probably be the ticket. Anything longer is going to be tough, unless it’s the H&H length action / mag box.- Blacktailbc

I've found several great uses for ground venison.
Try making a “hamburger steak” 1/2 lb venison cooked medium. I usually fry in cast iron with Montreal steak seasoning. Top with : Large slice of mozzarella cheese Couple generous spoonfuls mango salsa. Some crispy fried onions . Just eat with a fork , along with some salad & a beer. It’s...- Blacktailbc
