Transferable skills... whitetail to elk
I live in Pa and have done well with whitetails get 2 or 3 most yrs some 140s all with my bow And I dont see much in common with elk hunting at all, except using the wind 100% of the time -

Spending money on kids
My father has been gone 28 yrs now some of the best memories my brother and sister talk about was fishing and hitting golf balls down at the driving range, or going to the mini putt didnt cost very much but those memories are priceless- dgc1963

Little parenting help
I wonder if someone is pushing him around being the new kid Does he like music a kid with out many friends at 15 can pick up a guitar and if he likes it be shredding the fretboard in no time and that open up things at times- dgc1963

Compound Bow Beginner-Help!
IMO do not go out and shoot 50 arrows in a night learn at 15 yrds or so maybe 20 shot a few arrows in the beginning its all about form an muscle memory not so much where the arrows are in the target that can be worked with once you start getting good groups adjusting the arrow placement in... -

Elk hunting camo vs Deer hunting camo ????
Ok my 2 cents you dont need to spend a ton of money I live in Pa and was in the same boat you are many yrs a go I use all merino wool base and mid layers lots of good stuff other than some of the big name brands look at cold pruf , I love darn tough socks I dont start with much on if its cold... -
