My two bucks taken this fall with an Browning X-Bolt in 300 H&H using Nosler 180 grn accubond trophy grade ammo. The 1st was at 52 yds, the 2nd at 125 yds.
Thanks very much for the help. I was able to fill both my buck tags this fall using the nosler 180 accubond factory ammo in my recently purchased 300 H&H but wanted to try some reloading using various bullet weights and brands now that my season is over.
I normally like to buy local if I can but I did buy rifle from Buds back in August because it was the only place I could find that had one in the caliber I wanted. The process went fine. What helped me is that I was able to get some recommendations on a good FFL that a couple of guys at my...
This buck came up out of a swamp and was cruising the edge of soybean field right a sunrise. He's sure not as good as a lot of other bucks on here but he's probably my best whitetail so far. Now both my buck tags are filled and the freezer is full. Pretty much done for the fall. Never had...

I think you may have me confused with someone else. Although I was born and raised in Catawba County I now live down in Pitt County just outside of Greenville. I only had about a 45 minute drive this morning. Had a decent shoot. Ended up with 9. Enough for a mess for my wife and myself...
In my CVA Accura (original version) I've had really good results with 100 grns. of Blackhorn 209 and a 300 gran Knight Red Hot bullet, which is basically a Barnes Expander MZ that loads easier.
The rifle in the top 2 photos is a sporterized 1917 Enfield with a 4X weaver scope. He had it rechambered to 300 Win in the early 1960s. I have it but now it has a newer Burris 3 - 9 scope.
The rifle in the bottom 2 photos is a Rem 721 in 300 H&H be bought in 1954 with a 4X Weaver scope. My...
